Vodafone Awards 2008

The Vodafone Research Awards are promoted by the Vodafone Company and the Spanish Office for Science and Technology and it its specially targeted to novel research projects on mobile technologies.

Our Oberón project, received the Best Research Project on Mobile Technologies Award 2008. This project provides augmented accessibility support for users of public transportation systems such as bus, underground and commuter trains.

Degree Project Awards 2007

The Degree Project Awards are promoted by the Gijon City Council encouraging the development of high quality engineering projects by university students .

The last project of the Tirsvs program (History modeled as a semantic network of historic events) developed by Marta Ruíz García won one of the Information Technologies Awards 2007.

Internet Day Awards

Internet Day is an event organized by the Association of Internet Users of Spain. Its main goal is the promotion of accessible technologies in the age of the Information Society.

The design of our web site was selected as Finalist to the Best Accessible Web Design Award 2007.

e-Asturias Awards

e-Asturias is a an initiative of the goverment of the Principality of Asturias for the development and promotion of new technologies in the Society of the Information.

Our Augmented Reality Vadinia project was Finalist to the Best Research Project Award 2006.

TAW Awards

TAW stands for Test de Accesibilidad Web (Web Accesibility Test), a tool developed by the Web Accesibility Division of the CTIC Foundation (Center for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies in Asturias).

Our tandem projects GADEA - ANTS received the TAW Awards to the Best Research Projects on Web Accesibility 2005.

Ph D Awards

The Doctoral Thesis titled Adaptive User Interface Management System based on Object Oriented Components and Data-Gathering Agents, developed by Martín González Rodríguez in 2001 was awarded as the best Research work in Computer Science of the University of Oviedo.
